Whether you've never touched a sewing machine before or it's simply been a while, Sewing Basics is the perfect place to begin. In our relaxed, welcoming studio you'll learn the fundamentals of sewing in a small group, with plenty of individual guidance and encouragement along the way. Perfect for you if... - You've always wanted to learn to sew. - You have a sewing machine at home but don't know where to start. - You learned years ago and would love a confidence boost. - You enjoy making things and want to create your own clothing. Over six weeks you'll learn how to: - Set up and confidently use a sewing machine. - Understand the essential sewing tools and equipment. - Master basic sewing techniques through fun, practical projects. - Use an overlocker. - Read a commercial sewing pattern and choose suitable fabric. - Sew your own pair of comfortable PJ pants to take home. With only 4-5 students per class, there's plenty of time to ask questions, learn at your own pace, and receive personalised support. What to bring If you have your own sewing machine, you're welcome to bring it along so you can learn on the machine you'll use at home. Don't have one?
