Sew Fab was born out of a desire to get people sewing and creating in a way that is enjoyable, fun and relaxed. Sew Fab is located in a home based studio on the outskirts of southern Hamilton, New Zealand. This light and bright studio is a cosy escape in winter and a blissful cool retreat in summer. It is set up specifically for sewing and pattern making with up-to date, well maintained sewing machines and overlockers and all the necessary equipment at your fingertips. Sew Fab workshops allow for individual learning styles and pace. Ask as many questions as you like! Sew Fab patterns and projects are being continually developed to provide simple to sew items and garments that come with easy to follow instructions and tutorials. They are constantly being created to give simple sewing and fitting options.
Meet the tutor...
I'm Jenny and I have been stitching for as long as I can remember! I studied Fashion Design and have worked in the apparel industry designing, patternmaking and looking after different aspects of manufacturing. I have also been privileged to be involved in many World of Wearable Art shows as a finalist designer. I sew anything and everything, from lightweight intricate garments to heavyweight bags. My happy place is tucked away in my studio in front of one of my many sewing machines! I have taught sewing to both teenagers and adults since 2018 and absolutely love helping people progress along their sewing journey. I love seeing people find joy and satisfaction in creating
